HOW TO ARRIVE IN POSITANO, AMALFI COAST.
Your best bet is to fly in to Naples International Airport, located only about 60km from Positano. In fact, you
are also only a stones throw from Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, and Capri which may be destinations for you
before or after the wedding. Once you arrive in Naples, you have numerous options to
get from Naples to Positano.
The easiest is to arrange a direct transfer via a private car company. All of the car companies have
English speaking drivers and air conditioned cars and are easily reached by e-mail. You can also
take the train from Naples to Sorrento and then the SITA bus from Sorrento to Positano. Alternatively
you can take the hovercraft from Naples direct to Positano (although you need good sea legs as it
can sometimes be a bit choppy) The links below should be helpful to you when selecting your method
of transport but please bear in mind that these are not the only methods/ companies available to
you. A great web site to use is www.tripadvisor.com, not only can you find reviews for accomodations,
restaurants, transportation and even hairdressers! You can also talk with other travelers to Positano
to obtain their help and advice.

Currently, rates from Washington, DC to Naples for May of this year (not available for 2010 yet), run at around $800 round-trip
Once you are in Europe, you can find direct flights from London to Naples> from £129 ($180)
Driving from North: It is only an hour and a half drive without traffic but traffic can be horrific
